Hello everyone,
It has been clear to many of you that Shadow’s Dash has not been actively maintained for a while now. I am now announcing today that Shadow’s Dash is being discontinued.
Shadow’s Dash developement began in early 2022, with a goal in mind: to make a simple, easy to use, modern and feature-rich dashboard for free and paid hosting services. The first instance being sold in August 2023. The field evolved a lot since then, and I don’t recognise myself in this anymore. Another reason is also the fact that I have been working as a software developer in a very big french insurance group for a little over a year now, which takes most of my time.
It’s clear to me that it cannot continue like this. That’s why I take the hard, but well thought decision, to end Shadow’s Dash. Active instance owners can claim a copy of their data in their respective ticket.
I will answer questions in Discord tickets, feel free to make one or ping me in an existing one.
Will Ctrl Alt Cat close? No, it’s still a registered company in France.
I also want to express through this message a thought that I feel the need to share here, for some reason. AI will not replace humans. Be careful of vibe-coded websites/apps: those apps / websites do not give a single care about your security.
Ctrl Alt Cat has, and will keep, a very strict LLM policy, because AI is stealing jobs and creativity of thousands, in addition of being a catastrophe when it comes to the environment and social fields. Bring back soul to your projects, and the internet :D
